Philosophy of Care
Our policy is to treat every resident as an individual, to be consulted on issues affecting them and to be made to feel wanted, comfortable, and fulfilled as far as is possible. We positively encourage regular contact between residents and their families and friends who are welcome to visit at any time. At Tudor Lodge we provide individual care in a luxurious environment. We understand that some residents will be reluctant to move into residential care and every effort is made to ensure that this transition has a positive outcome.
On admission of a new resident to Tudor Lodge a personal care plan is agreed in conjunction with their medical advisers, relatives and any other people or professionals concerned. The resident is also consulted and this plan relates to specific individual requirements and needs. Specific attention is paid to health, wellbeing and social needs. In addition a member of staff is appointed to act as their Key Worker.
We have a weekly visit from our GP but should any resident require a doctor at any time this can be arranged by our staff.
Tudor Lodge provides 24-hour care for all of our residents. We offer convalescence care; after surgery or illness, respite care; for those that may need a break or a holiday, as well as permanent care for the elderly. We also provide a day care service.
Many of our residents have an active social life. In fact, many residents have a far more active social life at Tudor Lodge than they had before they moved here. We have a varied activities schedule with something going on every morning and most afternoons. In addition our Entertainments Co-ordinator arranges regular trip and outings to local sights, theatres and pubs.
